Adrianne Hedberg, LCSW
I am a licensed clinical social worker with a dedication to helping individuals make positive, meaningful change in their lives. I specialize in working with clients struggling with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, adolescent issues, trauma, life transitions, and family/relationship communication issues.
My passion is treating those struggling with eating disorders and related issues such as disordered eating patterns, body image, and low self-esteem/self-worth. I have experience working with adolescents and adults in inpatient and residential levels of care. I use a Healthy At Every Size (HAES) framework and treat individuals of all gender identities.
I approach sessions with warmth, empathy, and humor as we explore your unique challenges and set goals. I use a collaborative and strengths-based approach to help empower you to identify your emotions, communicate your needs, utilize healthy coping skills, and practice self-compassion. I strive to meet clients where they are in their journey of healing and self-exploration, whether this is their first time in therapy or have a long history of treatment. I take a non-judgmental stance and work to create a safe and comfortable therapy environment where thoughts and emotions can be shared authentically.
I pull from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), and mindfulness techniques in my practice.
Outside of therapy and working to dismantle diet culture, I enjoy spending time at home with my husband and son, baking, thrifting, practicing yoga, and taking walks in nature.
I am in-network with BCBS PPO and United PPO plans and am licensed in IL.
