Kelsey Schwab, LCPC, CADC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in Eating Disorders and Sport Psychology. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master’s in Human and Sport Performance, both from Adler University.
My experience of being a college athlete and working with the Chicago Fire Soccer Club informs my holistic approach to helping athletes overcome injury, performance anxiety, and confidence issues. I have also worked as a therapist at Eating Recovery Center where I provided individual and group therapy to people with eating disorders.
I take a collaborative and compassionate approach to my work with my clients and their families. I draw upon a number of approaches in my work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy , Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I use a Health at Every Size approach with my clients and work with my clients on learning to trust, and have compassion for, themselves.
I provide individual therapy and family therapy to people ages 10 and up. In addition to Eating Disorders, and Sport Performance, I enjoy working with clients with Anxiety, Mood Disorders, and I am also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
I am in-network with BCBS PPO and United PPO plans and am licensed in IL and SC.
