Taylor Gostele, LCPC, CEDS
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 5 years of experience in individual, family and group psychotherapy for adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders, mood disturbances, anxiety, trauma, self-harm, body image, low self-esteem, life transitions, relationship issues, and identity development.
I believe that the process of growth and healing requires a unique kind of strength and courage. I strive to provide an inclusive environment that honors safety and respect to empower you to explore the aspects of who you are, build insight into adaptive and maladaptive patterns of coping, and learn how to shift those patterns to encourage authentic living that is meaningful to you.
I am passionate about helping individuals and families understand and validate their emotional experiences by creating a therapeutic alliance built on trust, vulnerability, and authenticity. To address your individual needs, I draw from strategies based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Self-Compassion, Shame Resilience, Health At Every Size, and Intuitive Eating.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in sociology, from Western Illinois University and my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (Counseling Practice) at Roosevelt University. I am also currently working toward becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and will acquire complete certification through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals in 2024.
I am in-network with BCBS PPO and United PPO plans and licensed in IL and SC.
