Identity Development
Identity development is the process of defining your own beliefs and sense of self. Questions about identity can occur throughout the lifespan, and often occurs during adolescence and young adulthood.
Clients may find themselves exploring personality traits, gender identity, sexuality, racial identity, and the values and goals that define who they are. At times, this can be stressful, especially if what you believe doesn’t align with family, societal, or cultural norms. Therapy can provide a safe and supportive space to explore who you are and what you believe.
